UTK (an acronym for Universe, The King) is a world renown lyricist, producer, and actor from the West Coast hip hop scene via Leimert Park, CA. His authentic lyrical style has gained the attention of many major labels including Interscope & Def Jam, and even landed him in the studio with legends like Dr. Dre & Zaytoven. In addition, UTK was named a BET Music Matters artist (2014), toured with the Vans Warped Tour (2013 & 2016), and opened for mainstream artist such as The Game, Nipsey Hussle, YG, and 1500orNothin.
In 2018, UTK won the Craft Syndicate music mentorship contest and collaborated on “Hierarchy” with Zaytoven & Nipsey Hussle. The song was written as triple entendre describing how UTK relates to his mentors and proves their work together was destined. Since its release, “Hierarchy” has already gained numerous plays and streams via all music platforms and continues to receive high praise from satisfied listeners.
