Los Angeles emcee Dummie (formerly known as Dumbfoundead) is excited to release his 10th solo project and 3rd EP release within the past year entitled Café Bleu. The milestone release is a nod to his evolution as an artist as he is free to venture out with progressive unconventional sounds that pay tribute to the kind of tolerant community we’re all looking for…the one where we are accepted as we are.

“Café Bleu is an imaginary neighborhood spot where everyone is free to come hangout… nobody needs to know your name or your history and you can figure out your next moves in life without judgement. With this being my 10th solo project, I feel like I’m in a place where I am free to make choices without having to worry about the reactions of those choices. It’s a very liberating feeling. As an artist, I am now more open to exploring television, film, screenwriting and more.”

Today, also marks Dummie’s major motion picture debut in the Eminem produced and Joseph Kahn directed satirical film Bodied. Starring as a seasoned battle rapper named Prospek, Dummie coaches the outsider about the in-your-face rapid fire street battles. The film has already won the Toronto International Film Festival People’s Choice Award as well as Fantastic Fest’s 2017 Audience Awards. Bodied has been met with critical acclaim earning a 92% positive approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes and rave reviews from RobertEbert.com, LA Times, Slash Film, The Verge, Coming Soon, Joblo and The Globe and Mail.

ABOUT DUMMIE:
From the battle grounds to the silver screen, Jonathan Park (professionally known as Dummie, formerly known as Dumbfoundead) has built up an unbelievably impressive repertoire. Born in Buenos Aires to Korean immigrants, smuggled into Mexico, raised in K-town Los Angeles where he later freestyled at open mics in Leimert Park at Project Blowed and was part of the last generation of Blowedians, Dumbfoundead is now a force to be reckoned with not only in the Los Angeles hip-hop scene but also internationally as a viral hip-hop ambassador. In 2009, Dumbfoundead started uploading music videos on YouTube and growing his large fan base. His channel has currently over 500 thousand subscribers and more than 80 million views.

Dumbfoundead may also be recognized for work as an actor supporting Joseph Kahn’s Detention (2011), Bodied (2017) and Season 3 of Starz #1 series Power (2016). He has embraced the curator role in one of K-town’s most happening parties: Spamneggs alongside Far East Movement and Tokimonsta. But at the heart of it all is his music. Dumbfoundead has delivered his comic rhymes effortlessly into 10 solo albums: DFD, Fun With Dumb, Take the Stares, Love Everyday, Banned From The Motherland, Old Boy Jon, We Might Die, Foreigner, Rocket Man and Café Bleu.
