Ervin Munir Is Back With “I Don’t Care”

Ervin

Norfolk folk singer Ervin Munir just released “I Don’t Care” on September 19th, and I’ve had it on repeat. It’s giving us a preview of his third album coming up.

The whole vibe of the song is about ignoring what everyone expects from you and just doing your thing. We all know that feeling when people try to tell us how to live our lives, right? Ervin totally gets it.

His voice has this really nice warmth to it that draws you in. The acoustic guitar carries most of the song, with some piano sprinkled in and drums that’ll have you tapping along without even thinking about it. Those chorus harmonies hit different though. They wrap around you and make everything feel like it’s going to work out.

That guitar solo in the middle surprised me. You can tell Ervin worked closely with producer Aeron Z Jones to get everything just right. It sounds professional but still keeps that intimate folk feel that makes his music connect with people.

The song is basically Ervin saying you don’t owe anyone an explanation for being yourself. I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of the album because if this is what he’s putting out first, the other tracks are probably going to be great too. He’s really good at writing songs that mean something and stay with you after they’re done playing.
