Because New York City is the birthplace of Hip-Hop, the “King of New York” title has been widely coveted and hotly contested for decades. In the past, the title has been held decidedly: The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, JAY Z, 50 Cent. In 2018 however, after New York’s preeminence has faded, the title holder is less clear.
