Kelsey Wilson of Wild Child, debut solo EP as Sir Woman

Sir Woman further heralded her much anticipated debut album, PARTY CITY, with a wide range of additional activity, from a stripped-down “Pop Up Session” on Austin’s KUTX to a breathtaking cover of Bill Withers’ classic “Just The 2 Of Us,” streaming now at her official YouTube channel.

2020 saw Sir Woman primed to hit the road celebrating PARTY CITY but of course, things changed. With fewer reasons to rejoice, Wilson decided to postpone her exultant solo debut – now due in 2021 – in favor of a more directly emotional record for these troubled times. The genre-bending, Motown-powered BITCH sees Sir Woman joined by her crack backing band – drummer Amber Baker and back-up singers Spice and Roy Jr. – along with talented friends including guitarist Nik Lee and multi-instrumentalist Dan Creamer (both of The Texas Gentlemen) as well as critically acclaimed country-pop artist Robert Ellis.

“This EP is me finding what makes me feel good and falling in love with myself,” Wilson says. “A mix of everything that makes my body move — pop, soul, gospel, funk, folk, and R&B. It feels so right to make a record that has my actual heart in it. These songs are the part of me that wants to help people fall in love with themselves through music. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
