Artic Baba and their new single ‘Mr. Crazy’ take all the components of the genre’s best tunes and adds fresh flavours to the fore; it is quite the experience!
Eric, the vocalist, takes us on a voyage through his real-life experiences and the world around him, singing with plenty of emotion. His vocal performance is reminiscent of some of the all-time greats of commercial pop-rock. But he also provides an edge that we don’t frequently hear, especially from a band in this musical genre.
Also, as the tune proceeds, each band member blooms, with the pop-rock framework frequently shifting. The music is pouring with energy, and there are no moments where it becomes monotonous or predictable. It’s the inverse, and the thrill is flowing in by the barrel load, keeping us firmly hooked on the path.
On ‘Mr Crazy,’ the chorus is infectious. Here, we hear the singer dig further into his vocal range, and the backing singers thrive, their tones giving even more weight to the production. Also, after the chorus, we jump directly into an exciting guitar solo that is brimming with personality! We’re grabbing for our air guitars by the time the guitar dips back into the mix!
Overall, ‘Mr. Crazy’ by Artic Baba is a standout track that will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up!
