How did you get started in music?
My father would play records and let me dig through the crates, I said when I get older this is what I’m going to do.
Who did you listen to growing Up?
I listened to older music, people like Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, also people like James Brown, Michael Jackson; he was my biggest influence. When I got older rap music had taken over the scene so I listen to people like Kool G Rap Rakim, KRS-One, then I moved to Long Beach and it was all Snoop Dogg, the dog pound, DJ Quik, NWA, Eazy-E and Tupac.
How would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard you?
I’m like Snoop Dogg Jay z Jeezy and Young Dolph all mixed together.
What is your new song Summa about?
It’s about me paying homage to the city I grew up in and the city I was raised in, which is Compton and Long Beach but ultimately about paying homage to the greats that came before me which is Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg.
What are your plans for the rest of 2022?
Well, honestly, it’s to continue to create records doing what I love to do which is rap. I want to create more influence and cut through some of this clutter by marketing and promoting myself.
What are something that people don’t know about you. Do you have any hidden talents?
Yeah, I cook very well, any of my street dudes can understand what I mean I’m a professional chef when it comes to cooking with my wrist.
Last question, do you have any shout outs?
Yeah, I want to shout out my God most importantly. Without God I be nowhere. Then, I want to shout out my family because they’re my major support system. Then, my friends and fans y’all got me here, so this one’s for you.
