New Orleans duo $uicideboy$ delve into themes of excess and contradictions with their new track, “The Thin Grey Line,” from the upcoming album New World Depression, set for release on June 14 via G*59 Record$. The track’s hard-hitting bassline accompanies lyrics about internal conflict, substance abuse, and existential angst, reflecting their rise in the underground scene.
The album’s lead single, “Us Vs Them,” entered the Billboard Hot 100 during the week of April 30th, exploring fame, self-destruction, and identity. It has amassed 35 million Spotify streams and features on prominent playlists like New Music Friday and Alternative Hip-Hop.

“New World Depression” Album
Throughout the 13-track New World Depression, $uicideboy$’ raw, unfiltered lyrics offer an honest narrative about the struggle for authenticity in a cold, indifferent world. This album is an unapologetic exploration of the darker sides of human experience, resonating with those who feel out of place or battle personal demons. All three of their previous albums debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. This fourth album marks the 10th anniversary of $uicideboy$.
Since forming in 2014, $uicideboy$ have blended rap, punk, and trap, becoming pioneers of the SoundCloud Rap movement. They’ve released three full-length albums, 28 EPs, 10 collaborative EPs, and nine mixtapes, garnering over 20 billion streams. In 2023, they were recognized as one of Billboard’s Top Grossing Hip-Hop Touring Artists, one of Spotify’s Top Groups, and one of SoundCloud’s Top 5 Most Streamed Artists.
