North Ship

Copenhagen-based band North Ship fronted by Tom Golzen alongside Francis Nørgaard Jensen are back! With them they bring their mighty new album, “It Looked Like Rain”.

From the get-go, “It Looked Like Rain” stuns with its eclectic blend of programmed elements, live instrumentation, and deeply atmospheric textures. There is an exciting tone that emerges from the title track. Also, it takes us deep into North Ship’s style where each subsequent song is like a new chapter to their narrative.

The album builds upon the success of their acclaimed singles “Green Light”, “Scent”, and “How Like You This?”. It also reveals North Ship’s evolution while staying true to their distinctive roots. Tracks like “Plastic House” and “Good And Gone” reveal their penchant for genre-bending. They also blend elements of alternative rock, synth wave, indie psychedelia, and post-punk. This diversity underscores their commitment to pushing musical boundaries and keeping their audience engaged.

It has been put together by Thomas Li, famed for his work with names like Martin Hall and Palle Mikkelborg. Also, mastered by Chris Kimsey, renowned for his contributions to the Rolling Stones’ legacy, “It Looked Like Rain” boasts a polished yet raw energy!
