Ervin Munir from Norfolk in the UK has the country and folk vibes flowing out of his new release “Going Nowhere”. A relatively succinct song at just over 3 minutes, this new one from Ervin is a heartfelt reflection of relationships and that moment when you realise that your relationship may be coming to an end.
The words are captivating and Ervin wastes no time getting to the point. Moreover, he speaks about not wanting his other half to go anywhere without him. There is a vulnerability here as he explores his emotions, candidly looking inward and hating the idea of a breakup. The music has a feel-good groove though in the mid-part, where the bass and drums come together to get the feet moving. This is quite different to the opener which features emotion-heavy guitar tones that are plucked with precision.
“Going Nowhere” follows Ervin’s previous release “Felixstowe”. It is also rumoured to be a part of a new album which is potentially arriving later this year. Let’s hope so!
