Kenton Place Drop ‘Haley’s Comet’

Kenton Place

There is always that one band that emerges and grabs the ears with ferocity, fitting that bill is Kenton Place. Their new single, ‘Haley’s Comet’, is top-class rock and the band excel with their latest offering.

‘Haley’s Comet’ is a thought-provoking piece with a lot of impact! The song begins with a guitar riff that reverberates with a heavily distorted tone throughout the mix. After the intro, the cymbals rattle away, paving the road forward, while the drums breathe fresh energy into the mix. The variety of sounds present in the production keeps us attracted to the mix, and after Logan Smalley takes over vocal duties, we find ourselves riveted to the speaker.

Logan is a fiery singer who flawlessly carries his emotions while being edgy and engaging. His tone blends beautifully with a female backing harmony, most likely his sister Laurel, who sang the lead vocal on their most recent release, ‘Done With You.’ He doesn’t hold back in this performance, proving that he has what it takes to become one of the finest rock vocalists of the next decade.

Logan’s vocals aren’t the only thing that shines. Furthermore, the guitars tear through the speakers towards the song’s end, and the solo has us clutching our air guitar! It is true rock served properly, and the band reminds us of some of the best rock and roll bands to emerge in the last 20 years or so.
